Quick start

With the radio off, connect and lock the approved wired audio accessory. Follow the battery and charging instructions in the CLPe manual before first use.
Hold the Power and Battery button until the start-up tone sounds and the Smart Status Glow Ring lights. Keep the earpiece volume low before fitting it.
Press Menu to reach Channel, then use + or − to choose the team channel. Briefly press PTT to leave the menu before calling.
Hold PTT on the radio or the inline PTT accessory, speak into the accessory microphone, then release PTT to listen through the earpiece.

Programming and fleet setup

CLPe fleet setup must match the exact model and regional configuration. Before cloning, confirm that the radios share the same frequency band, region and transmit-power specification; do not copy a US channel table into a Canadian radio.

Troubleshooting

There is no sound in the earpiece

Turn the radio off and confirm that the wired audio plug is fully inserted and turned to its locked position. Turn the radio on and check the audio at a low volume.

The glow ring changes after the earpiece is removed

The CLPe reports a missing audio accessory through its glow ring. Reconnect the approved accessory using the procedure in the manual.

Cloning fails

Check battery charge, charger contacts and the cloning connection. Confirm both radios are suitable for the same regional configuration before repeating the process.
