Warranty Returns (Canada)
Motorola two-way radios are backed by a standard 2-year Canadian warranty, with the exception of the Mag One BPR40, which includes a 1-year warranty. Motorola VX Series radios come with a 3-year warranty covering mechanical and electrical defects. All Kenwood radios sold in Canada include a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty.
If you experience an issue within your warranty period (starting from the date of purchase), please call 1-800-681-8023 to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Instructions for returning your item will be provided.
Important: Returns arriving without an RMA number cannot be processed and may be discarded. Once we receive the returned item, a replacement will be sent within 14 business days.
Defective Product Returns (First 10 Days)
If your radio arrives defective out of the box, call us at 1-800-681-8023 within 10 days of receipt. You’ll receive an RMA number and return instructions. Products returned without an RMA cannot be processed.
You have two options for handling a defective item:
- Option 1 – Advance Replacement: We’ll charge your card for a replacement and ship it immediately (same day in most cases). Once your defective item is returned and confirmed, we’ll issue a refund for the replacement charge.
- Option 2 – Standard Replacement: Return the defective item first. Once it’s inspected and confirmed defective, your replacement will be shipped within 2 business days.
Note: All replacement units are shipped via UPS Ground within Canada.
Out-of-Warranty Repairs
If your radio is outside the warranty period and requires repair, contact us at 1-800-681-8023 to receive an RMA number and instructions. Be sure to describe the issue so we can provide an estimate before any repair work is completed.
Packages sent without an RMA number cannot be processed and will be discarded. For extensive repairs, we’ll confirm costs before proceeding.
Refund Policy (14-Day Return Window)
If you’re not satisfied with your product and wish to return it, you must initiate the return within 14 days of delivery by calling 1-800-681-8023 for an RMA number and instructions.
Please follow these steps:
- Call in to receive an RMA and return instructions.
- Ensure all components and original paperwork are included in the original packaging.
- Follow the return instructions included with your RMA.
Once returned, your credit will be processed based on the condition of the item:
- A 20% restocking fee applies to new product returns. Products must be returned in resalable condition with original packaging. Refunds will be issued minus the restocking fee and original shipping charges.
- You may avoid the 20% fee by placing a comparable order at the time of return. The new order will be charged separately, and the credit for the returned item will be applied upon confirmation of resale condition.
- If returned products are damaged, show signs of wear, or are missing original packaging, they will be considered used and will not be eligible for refund. You may choose to have the item returned to you at your expense or allow us to sell it as used equipment.
Order Cancellation Policy
Need to cancel an order? Contact us by phone or email with your order number right away. Orders can only be cancelled before they ship.
If your order has already shipped, you must follow our refund policy to process a return.
