Check that the battery is charged, fully seated and latched. If the R2 still will not start, contact support rather than repeatedly changing programming.

Identify the exact model and selected configuration. If you are expanding a fleet, send the current model numbers and programming details to our team so compatibility can be checked before you order.
The R2 uses programmed channels and groups. Send the current fleet model numbers, channel plan and required button functions to the person configuring your radios; a matching channel number alone does not establish compatibility.
Check that the battery is charged, fully seated and latched. If the R2 still will not start, contact support rather than repeatedly changing programming.
A Broadcast Call or All Call does not allow a reply. Confirm the call type and assigned group with your radio administrator.
Confirm the selected channel and zone. The R2 must be configured as a member of the intended group.
Turn the Channel Selector knob to the channel assigned to your team. If your R2 uses multiple zones, the programmed Zone Toggle button changes the active zone.
No. The Motorola R2 cannot reply to a Broadcast Call or All Call. Use an assigned group or individual call when a response is needed.
Send the existing radio model numbers, channel plan and required button functions to the Canadian support team. The R2 configuration must be checked against the fleet before new radios are programmed.
Use the accessories linked from the Canadian product page. Confirm the radio model, connector and battery or charger part number before adding equipment to an existing system.
Ask about programming, fleet quotes or an existing order. For an order enquiry, include your order number and the affected product. Call 1-800-681-8023.
