What do you need help with?

Quick start

  1. With the radio off, check that the correct battery and antenna are fitted. Charge using the authorized equipment and the instructions in the matching user guide.
  2. Hold the Power button to start the radio. Use the separate Volume Up and Volume Down buttons to set the listening level.
  3. Use the Talkgroup Scroll Rocker to choose the assigned talkgroup.
  4. Hold PTT and wait for the Talk Permit Tone before speaking into the microphone. Release PTT to listen.

Programming and fleet setup

WAVE PTX devices use account and talkgroup configuration. Ask your account administrator to check that this device is assigned to the intended user and groups, that service is active and that the configured network is available. Do not enter conventional radio channel frequencies as a substitute for account setup.

The radio cannot reach the network

Check the network status shown on the device and whether other devices at the same location can connect. Ask the account administrator to review the service and network configuration.

The wrong group is selected

Select the assigned talkgroup, then confirm group membership with the WAVE PTX administrator.

The start of a message is cut off

Hold PTT and wait for the Talk Permit Tone to end before speaking. Release PTT to listen.
