October 2021 Pay It Forward: Crisis Response International

Crisis Response International Logo

Crisis Response International, or CRI, is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. They  train and deploy volunteers from communities, churches and other independent organizations for the purpose of responding to disasters and compassion initiatives around the world.

Hurricane Ida made landfall as a high-end, Category 4 major storm. Packing wind speeds of 155 mph, record rainfall, and flooding caused levies to top in areas and knock power out to over one million residents and could be months till restored in some areas.

Together with several other organizations, CRI has served nearly 50,000 meals.

We are honored to be able to take part in amazing projects like the Love & Lemonade Stand at Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County. We can't wait to get our first cup of lemonade! These girls are going to do amazing things!

June 2021 Pay It Forward - Sunrise Kiwanis Golf Tournament

We're honored to have supported Fort Pierce Sunrise Kiwanis Club's 30th Annual Kiwanis Shoot Out Golf Tournament. Two Way Radio Gear is committed to supporting our local community (and communities around the country) through our Pay-It-Forward Program. We're always looking to get behind worthy causes. May 2021 Pay It Forward- PACE & Demetrius Gollett

For the month of May we decided to split our Pay It Forward and contribute to the PACE center for girls golf tournament and Demetrius Gollett. PACE center for girls is an organization that has been around for 35 years who’s vision is a world where all girls and young women have power in a just and equitable society and provides girls and young women an opportunity for a better future through education, training, and advocacy.

 Demetrius Gollett is a young burn survivor who has had 36 surgeries after losing his great grandparents in a house fire. He is preparing to head to Ohio for a long over-do follow up and the Cincinatti Children’s hospital, and will be undergoing his 37th surgery in June. He is an inspiration to many, and we are proud to support Demetrius’ ‘Going Forward’ benefit.

April 2021 Pay It Forward - St. Lucie Reads

Learn to Read of St  Lucie county has been providing a free literacy program and services to any St Lucie resident 16yrs and older since 1981.We rely on volunteers who are trained and offer tutoring services one on one and in small group settings for reading, writing, conversation. Our agency can help you prepare for your GED, employment certification program, your US Citizenship test and interview or just with skills needed to help your children with their homework.

March 2021 Pay It Forward - St. Lucie County Fair Steer Sale- 4H

For the month of March, St. Lucie County Fair Steer Sale (4H) is our 'pay it forward' campaign recipient.

Every year, Two Way Radio Gear attends the local St. Lucie County Fair and chooses a steer to purchase in support of the 4H organization and the young student exhibitors that help raise the steer to prepare for purchase.

This purchase not only supports young adults in our community year after year, it also provides a portion of meat for each and every employee of Two Way Radio Gear and their family. David Lloyd, President and CEO has been sharing the meat yielded from each steer for the last several years.

February 2021 Pay It Forward - The Soup Ladies

For the month of February, The Soup Ladies is our ‘pay it forward’ campaign recipient

The Soup Ladies are an organization that helps feed first responders when they are out in the field. SWAT teams, search and rescue, natural disasters, the soup ladies respond to the call of duty. They have served over 300,000 meals, including responding to the recent devastation in Alabama by a tornado.
